Curious about Curious…? Let’s shine a light on Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Texarkana Repertory Company will present the award winning play, Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.  The title is long and so is its list of awards:  5 Tony Awards (including best play), 6 Drama Desk Awards, 7 Olivier Awards, and many more.  The play is based off of the novel by the same title written by Mark Haddon.

The play tells the story of Christopher Boone, a high school mathematical genius on the autism spectrum.  He has severe problems with communicating and interacting with people, interpreting social cues, and showing empathy with those around him.  Christopher takes on the challenge of investigating what happened to a dog that has been found dead in his neighbor’s garden.  What starts as a neighborhood mystery deepens to a journey of self-discovery for Christopher, during a pivotal time in his life.  Christopher, an unlikely hero, reminds us what we can do when we put our minds towards our goals.
