My involvement with Tex*Rep began six years ago when my son was cast as one of Fagan’s boys in Oliver.  Up to that time, I am sad to say, I did not know Tex*Rep existed.  I quickly became acquainted with everyone involved with Tex*Rep while helping to build the set for Oliver.  A few months later, I was asked to be a board member and after six years of serving as  a board member and Vice-President of Production, asked to be President of Tex*Rep.  My involvement with Tex*Rep has provided me with many new friends and many memorable experiences, both on and off the stage.

The 2007-2008 season promises many more memories with what I feel is our best MainStage season in years.  Come “Be Our Guest” and join us by becoming a supporting member of Tex*Rep or renewing your membership if already a member.

Our Community Division is working hard to produce another show this year.  Last year’s The Musical of Musicals: The Musical! played to sold out audiences for every performance at Cinema 218.  I can hardly wait to see what this year holds.

Our 9th annual Drama Camp’s theme this June is School House Rock.  It should bring back some Saturday morning cartoon watching memories for some of us mature people.  Conjunction, junction, what’s your function?  Ring a bell?

We invite you to come enjoy a performance.  I think once you see what Tex*Rep is all about, you will keep coming back for more.  We also welcome you to audition, work backstage or help with building a set.  Tex*Rep is a volunteer organization and we are always happy to have new faces join us.  Without your support, Tex*Rep will cease to exist.

Thank you for your past and continued support.  Let’s keep community theater alive and well in Texarkana.

Eddie Brown
Tex*Rep President
