Join us as the Silvermoon rises over Texarkana and as the planets align for a one-of-a-kind twin premiere in the Twin Cities! September 20 - 24th marks the world premiere of the historic Silvermoon Theatre in downtown Texarkana will embrace the world premiere of Texarkana! The Musical.

On many levels, this event will celebrate the rich history and character of our beloved T-Town. The newly restored Silvermoon on Broad has been a labor of love four years in the making. In the 200 block of West Broad Street in historic downtown Texarkana, four storefront buildings, all of which predate 1900 and two of which have been standing since before 1885, have been repurposed as an adaptable place to meet, with multiple rental spaces that provide historic charm and maximum flexibility.

The flagship space in the Silvermoon on Broad is the Silvermoon Theatre at 217 West Broad, the location of our production. Texarkana! The Musical is a fun-loving musical tribute to our home, one that celebrates things that are uniquely Texarkana, using, of course, an original, Texarkana-born script and score. From our opening scene on State Line Avenue, to the good old Chamber of Commerce, and finally to the stage of the Perot Theatre itself, our show visits key places at the heart of our community. While trying to avert a disaster that threatens Texarkana’s very existence, our players deal with things that divide us, yet furnish us our common experience as citizens of the Ark-La-Tex.

As an added bonus, if you’ve ever pondered what really happened to the Fouke Monster and the Phantom Killer, you’ll finally learn “the truth” on the stage of the Silvermoon Theatre. (But don’t spill the beans.) This singular event, benefiting Main Street Texarkana and Texarkana Repertory Company (Tex*Rep), will be discussed for years to come!
