SYNOPSIS: 'The Women' was written by Clare Booth Luce, an editor of Vanity Fair and United States Congresswoman. This cunning comedy is the quintessential theatrical cat fight. Following its Broadway opening during the 1935-36 season, the play ran for more than two years. In 1939, it was transformed into a now-classic film starring the period's top actresses, including Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford and Rosalind Russell.
